Kevin E. Pike
Manager/Owner
Early in his teens, Kevin's interest in funeral service was formed. Kevin's dad, Karl Pike was pastor of First Baptist Church of Howard City for 17 years. Many times his dad would do funerals for families who didn't have a church affiliation. For some of those funerals, Kevin's mom, Irene, would play the organ and sing. Helping people and learning to serve them in the hard times of life was something Kevin saw in many ways as he grew up. After graduating from Tri-County High School in 1981, Kevin went to college in Detroit at Wayne State University. He graduated Mortuary School in 1984 and was part of the first class to receive a Bachelor Degree in Mortuary Science in 1985. Kevin married his college sweetheart and long-time friend, Janet Rader, daughter of Sidney and Nadine Rader of Pierson in 1984. After college, they moved to Owosso where he worked for Jenning-Lyons Chapel until 1990 when he moved to Allegan and worked for Gorden Funeral Residence, a family-owned business. In 1999, he became a partner in the business where he managed the Hopkins Chapel. Kevin took over ownership of the funeral home on January 1, 2006. He and his wife, Janet are members of Cedar Springs Baptist Church.

Anita Cross
Office Manager - Secretary
Anita has worked at the funeral home for 14 years following the death of her husband who was a pastor. She has experience in planning lots of funerals and working with grieving folks. Her three girls and their families (including 6 special grandchildren) are a delight to her. Playing hymns at nursing homes, short trips especially to Lake Michigan, all kinds of puzzles and being active in her church, especially with single women at Blythefield Hills Baptist Church, fill her busy calendar.
