Wilma A. Lewis

Wilma A. Lewis (Bartholomew), 84 of Cedar Springs, passed away Friday, June 16, 2006. Mrs. Lewis was born May 24, 1922 in Kalkaska, MI. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Paul Lewis in 1994 and her son, Jim Lewis in 2004. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Judy (Barry) Porter; her sons, Michael (Teresa) Lewis and Gary Lewis; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; sister, Pearl Gordon; and several nieces and nephews. Willie loved playing cards, reading and Bingo. She was a long time member of the American Legion Post 287. Paul and Willie were former owners of the famous Cedar Saloon. She was generous, loving and loved to laugh. The family will receive friends Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs, where services will be held Tuesday 11:00 am. Pastor Vern Bareman of Sunshine Community Church officiating. Interment Elmwood Cemetery, Cedar Springs. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
