William F. Zoellmer Iii

William F. Zoellmer III (Bill) age 79 of Cedar Springs, died Thursday, April 24, 2025 at Corewell Health Butterworth Campus. He was born March 17, 1946 in Martin, Minnesota to William and Mildred (Malmanger) Zoellmer II. As an educator, Bill encouraged others to be their best selves, find their passions, and ask questions. He led by example, as he was an avid reader, talented artist and musician. He found joy in paragliding, water skiing, sailing, sketching, watercolor painting, sculpting, and jewelry making. Bill was talented and had many great qualities. His greatest attribute, however, was his kind heart. Bill was always willing to help those in need.

Surviving are his sister, Nancy Zoellmer; niece, Emily Zoellmer; nephew, Adam Zoellmer; sister-in-law, Diane Zoellmer. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert Zoellmer.

A memorial visitation will be held Tuesday, May 6 from 6-8 pm at the K.E. Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. Memorial contributions may be made to Whitehall Education Association for the Robb Zoellmer scholarship.
