William G. Struik, age 90 of Rockford, MI, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 24, 2026. He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Jennie (Haaksa) Struik; sisters, Grace Lowe, Jean Weiss and Lois Steigenga; brother, Robert Struik and daughter, Lisa Dickeson. Bill will be greatly missed by his wife, Char of 47 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend. Bill is survived by his children, Sheri Verwey, Beth (Wayne) Bosworth, Jodi Struik, Laberta (Rick) Willett; grandchildren, Kristen (Collin) Perry, David John Verwey II, Zach (Chelsea) Haugen, Taylor (Toby) Blair, Abygail Bosworth (Jevin), Erika Agon, Kali Dobrowolski; great-grandchildren, Lillian Verwey, Eden, Ezra, Elijah, Edison, Esther, and baby E and Halle Blair; many nieces and nephews.
Bill was born in Grand Rapids on December 8, 1935, and served in the US Army then worked at Sparks Belting Company for 40 years. He enjoyed snowmobiling, boating and motorcycling, but he most enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to Hospice of West Michigan, 6835 Hanna Lake Ave SE, Caledonia, MI 49316.
The family will greet friends from 1:00-3:00 p.m., Sunday, March 1 with the funeral service at 3:00 p.m. at K.E. Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. Officiating, Pastor Adam Anderson of New Heart Church.
