William Frederick Paepke age 89 of Pierson, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2026 in Cedar Springs, MI. He was born August 2, 1936 in Grand Rapids, MI the son of Henry and Edith (Kunz) Paepke. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and retired from Morrison Equipment in 1999 after over 35 years. Bill was a wonderful woodworker, could fix anything and loved ice cream and his John Deere tractors. He was very involved in Pierson Township over the years serving on the Fire Department, Zoning Board, Zoning Administrator and a Township Trustee. He was a good man. Surviving are his wife, Lucille; children, Beverly (Ed) Bobko, Mary Lou (Jack) Means, Renee (Rob) Armstrong, Lisa (Craig) Russell; 11 grandchildren, Alec, Kristy, Josh, Jeremy, Michael, Kimberly, David, Rachel, Carolynn, Laura, and Emily; sisters, Janet Nowlin and Carol (Rodger) Ransom. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sally Paepke; parents, Henry and Edith Paepke; step father, Raymond Hulsberg; son, Gregory Carpenter; brother-in-law, Jon Nowlin. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no services. Interment will take place in Pierson Township Cemetery. Arrangements by K.E. Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs.
