William R. Cook age 84 of Newaygo died Saturday, April 6, 2024 at his home doing what he loved tinkering in his barn. He was born October 16, 1939 in Ensley Township, MI the son of Howard and Edna (Barton) Cook. He graduated Howard City High School and served in the U.S. Army from 1958-60. He was a licensed plumber working many years for Earl Phelps and retiring from Pluene. He loved Farmall tractors, cutting wood, plowing snow, woodworking, being a ferrier and his special friendship with his dogs. He was always helping others and was very generous with his time and talents. He enjoyed attending all of his grandkids extracurricular activities. Surviving are his wife, Sharon; children, David (Jennifer) Cook, Deb (Dan) Trzybinski, William (Karen) Cook Jr., Michelle (Ben) Domasik, Sue Kruithoff; 14 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sister, Nadine Rader; brother-in-law, William Bolthouse; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dale Cook; sister, Nora Bolthouse; brother-in-law, Sidney Rader. The family will greet friends Friday, April 12 from 11:00 am until time of service at 12:00 pm at the Northland Church of Christ, 9891 Mason Dr., Grant. Pastor Michael Libby officiating.
