William "Bill" Weeks

William “Bill Weeks, 75 of Bailey went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. Bill was born October 29, 1941 the son of Clarence and Ruth (Winter) Weeks. He touched more lives than we’ll ever count. He went by Uncle Bill, Cowboy Bill, Bill, Dad, PA, and Gramps. From the kids who learned to ride a horse at Bethel Bible Camp, to kids in Awana, youth at Huggard Bible Church, Cedar Springs Baptist and Woodville Community Church, he loved every one. With a smile on his face, a firm hand shake, he had an encouraging word for everyone he met. A Cowboy thru and thru! If you came across him without his Cowboy hat you probably didn’t recognize him at first, until you heard his deep distinctive voice. Surviving are his wife, Kathy (Buffum); daughters, Julie Atwood, Brenda (David) Metzger; grandchildren, Brandon (Christy), Melissa, Megan (Homer), Rob (Rachel), Bren, Renee, David; great grandchildren, Alexis, Anna, Addi, Toby, Drayden. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife of 54 years, Barbara in 2014; sister, Betty. The family will greet friends in a unique Cowboy fashion Saturday, January 28 from 1:00 pm until time of service at 2:30 pm at the Hitching Post Events, 2940 S. Ravenna Road, Ravenna followed by lunch and sharing. Pastor Brett Werner officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Woodville Community Church.
