William "Bill" Taylor

William “Bill” Taylor, 68 of Cedar Springs, died Monday, July 13, 2009 at Metro Health Hospital. Bill was born February 24, 1941 in Grand Rapids, MI the son of William and Alice (Persons) Taylor Sr. He was employed by the Red Flannel Factory and the Cedar Springs Public Schools. Surviving are his loving wife of 47 years Janet (Hays); 3 children, Wayne & Ellie Taylor, Scott & Jane Taylor, Laura Ash; former son-in-law, John Ash; grandchildren, Alana, Chris (Erin), Braedan, Kelsey, Rylan, Jordan, Bryan, Samantha; great grandsons, Noah and Kian. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Carol Ann. The family will greet friends at a celebration of his life on Friday from 4-7 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. There will be no funeral service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Kent County.
