Wayne L. Williams

Wayne L. Williams, 89 of Cedar Springs, died Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at Clark Retirement Community. Mr. Williams was born September 30, 1916 in Spencer Township, MI the son of Earl and M. Persis (Sipple) Williams. He was a farmer and had been a member of the Cedar Springs United Methodist Church and the Cedar Springs Historical Society. Surviving are 3 daughters, Kathy Kikkert of Grandville, Fran & Terry Vogtmann of Ada, Sue & Paul Wirth of Ada; 8 grandchildren, Carrie, Kevin, Tom and Alisha Kikkert, Emily and Nick Vogtmann, Kat and Andy Wirth; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn in 1985 and a brother Merton in 1997. The family will receive friends Friday from 5-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. Visitation will continue Saturday from 12 Noon until time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, Cedar Springs. Pastor Brian Rafferty officiating. Interment Spencer Mills Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church or the Clark Retirement Community.
