Virginia H. Wilcox

Virginia H. Wilcox, 87 of Howard City, died Monday, January 2, 2012 at Metron of Cedar Springs. Mrs. Wilcox was born April 29, 1924 in Grandville, MI the daughter of Jerry and Henrietta (DeZwaan) DeVries. She was a library aide for Grand Rapids Public Schools and helped organize the library at Our Lady of Consolation Church in Rockford. She was the pianist at Cowden Lake United Church of Christ for many years. Surviving are two daughters, Vallery (Will) Tovey of Cedar Springs, Marsha J. Good of Marne; 16 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mary Unger; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Mallory in 2001. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. Pastor Anne Riegler officiating. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the Activity Fund at Metron of Cedar Springs.
