Virginia M. Fisher

Virginia Mae Fisher, age 100 of Sand Lake, passed away Monday, October 11, 2021 at her daughter’s home. Virginia was born March 18, 1921 in Cedar Springs, MI the daughter of Lester Thomas and Bernice Leone (Winchester) Hanna. She worked for Butterworth Hospital as an operating room technician. She loved playing cards and bingo with her family and friends and enjoyed dancing. She especially loved spending time with her friends at the Lakeside Inn Restaurant in Sand Lake. Surviving are her daughter, Judy (Daniel) Sturgeon; daughter-in-law, Debra Elder; grandchildren, Lester (Cindy) Elder, Chad (Melody) Elder, Tammy (Brian) Hills, Gerri Lyn Aley, Ralph (Liz) Elder Jr., Bethann (Al) McGahan, Diana Krueger, Danielle (Steve) Neff, Dawn (Lyndsey) Sturgeon, Daniel (Julie) Sturgeon II and Darci (Jack) Reinhardt; many great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claud Fisher; three sons, Jack (Susie) Elder, Jerry (Darlene) Elder and Ralph Elder; grandchildren, Vickie Misner, Jack Elder Jr., Terry Elder, Reed Elder and Deborah Sturgeon. The family will greet friends Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs where the service will be held Saturday 2:00 pm. Pastor Bruce Wilson officiating. Interment Solon Township Cemetery.
