Violet L. Jordan

Violet L. Jordan, 88 of Kent City, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016 at her home. Mrs. Jordan was born May 30, 1927 in Talune, CA the daughter of Richard and Myrtle (Massengale) Evans. She was a good mom to many and did a great job raising her children. She enjoyed camping and gardening and was a member of the Newaygo VFW. Surviving are her husband, Gerald; children, Kathy (Tim) Dykstra, Steve (Norma) Jordan, Rick (Yvonne) Jordan, Joanne (Tom) Velte; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sister, Lillian Johnson; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers; three sisters; and three grandchildren. The family will greet friends Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs where the service will be held Wednesday 11:00 am. Pastor Chuck Smith officiating. Interment at Seaman Cemetery, Casnovia Township. Memorial contributions may be made to Spectrum Health Hospice.
