Vernon Wayne White

Vernon W. White age 72 of Ensley Township, Sand Lake, died Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Metro Health Hospital. Vern was born October 19, 1945 in Courtland Township, MI the son of Wayne and Stella (Roberts) White. He had worked for Dykema Excavating in construction and loved to farm. He was an avid hunter, used work horses for farming and enjoyed trail riding with the “Over the Hill Gang”. Surviving are his wife, Judy; children, Anna (Doug) Jourden, Kathy (Bob) Kruger, Brenda (Dave) Pyne; grandchildren, Josh (Kim), Tonya (John), Andy, and Tyler; great grandchildren, Harper, Westlynn, Madison, Carter, and Skylar; mother, Stella White; sister, Verna (James) Smigiel; brothers, Harvey (Margaret) White, Dennis (Colleen) White, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Edward; and sister, Wanda Wagner. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs where the service will be held Thursday 11:00 am. Mr. Derald Rhineberger officiating. Interment Crandall Cemetery.
