Vernon Dean Patterson

Vernon Dean Patterson, 57 of Cedar Springs, died Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Faith Hospice – Trillium Woods. Dean was born December 30, 1957 in Sheridan, MI the son of Alfred and LaVonna (Hodges) Patterson. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1976 – 78. He was an auto body tech and was always working on cars. He loved his Harley, his dachshunds (girls), and was always willing to help others. Surviving are his wife, Sandi; children, Dean Allen Patterson, Erin Beller (Jason Meredith), Shain Patterson (Jesse Roberts), Amanda Sholes, Chelsey Hernandez (Zedekiah), Jennifer Del Angel (Jose); nine grandchildren; one great grandson; sister, Vonnie Greenhoe; brothers, Rick Patterson, Ace Patterson. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Craig Patterson, Jim Patterson. A private family visitation was held at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. Interment will be with his parents in Evergreen Cemetery, Sheridan. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 129 Jefferson Ave. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503.
