Thomas E. Gee Jr.

Thomas E. Gee, Jr. 86 of Cedar Springs, died Monday, February 22, 2016 at Spectrum Health – Butterworth Campus from accidental injuries. Mr. Gee was born August 5, 1929 in Grand Rapids, MI the son of Thomas and Merle (Sabin) Gee, Sr. He was a truck driver for 47 years and also worked at Westside Aposlate. He loved camping. Surviving are his loving wife, Patricia whom he married on June 23, 1951; children, Shirley (Dan) Poeder, Mary (Dean) Gee Thorrington, Emerson Gee, Richard (Carmen) Gee; grandchildren, Tarrah (Jake), Shane (Amber), Kayla (Katie), Seth (Hayley), Brianna, Chad (Stefani), Timmy (Jen), Stephanie (Aaron); 4 great grandchildren; sisters, Gloria Bartaway, Gertrude Morse, Kate Hole; brothers, Ernest Gee, Rodney Gee, Donald Gee; his dog, Susie. He was preceded in death by his parents and six brothers and sisters. The family will greet friends Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday 10:30 am at St. John Paul II Catholic Church, Cedar Springs. The family will greet friends at church at 9:30 am. Rev. Fr. Lam Le celebrant. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Bellowood Rescue, Cedar Springs.
