Terry B. Gates

Terry B. Gates age 55 of Cedar Springs, died Friday, October 8, 2021 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus. Terry was born April 13, 1966 in Grand Rapids, MI the son of Arthur and Arlene (Fisk) Gates. He worked at Irwin Seating Company and had been President of the IUE-CWA Local #415 for several years. He enjoyed photography, fishing, traveling, joking around and playing the Wii with his son. He was very family oriented and like eating out, family dinners and genealogy. He loved talking to people. Surviving are his wife, Beth; children, Chelsea (Kourtney) Carll, A.J. Gates; brother, Michael (Denise) Gates; mother-in-law, Marilyn James; brother and sisters-in-law, Joe (Judy) James, Martha (Kevin) Sall, Rachel (Ed) Coon; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Rick Foy. The family will greet friends Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs where the service will be held Friday 11:00 am. Pastor Chuck Smith officiating. Interment Blythefield Memory Gardens.
