Steven Anthony Skelonc, 76, passed away peacefully in God’s arms and in the presence of his loving family. Steve was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, friend, and neighbor.
A 1967 graduate of Cedar Springs High School, Steve was an active member and president of the Cedar Springs FFA. His love for agriculture began early. At 17, he began building a lasting legacy for future generations on the family dairy farm. Known for his values and work ethic, Steve was deeply committed to both his family and his community.
Steve found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He cherished spending time with his family working on the farm, camping, or traveling together. He loved helping his wife perfect her recipes, always volunteering as her enthusiastic taste tester. His greatest joy was watching his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren explore the farm. He shared his love for the land and taught them the value of hard work and family traditions. Steve was also known for his genuine interest in people, and he had many friends in the community. He loved to talk, share stories, and got to know everyone he could.
Steve’s legacy lives on in the land he loved, the family he cherished, and the countless lives he touched with his kindness, humor, and gift for connection. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
