Shirley J. Hojnacki

Shirley J. Hojnacki, 85 of Morley, died Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Spectrum Health – Butterworth Campus. Mrs. Hojnacki was born December 26, 1928 in Grand Rapids, MI the daughter of Alvy and Hazel (Fish) Reedy. She graduated as valedictorian from Godwin High School and had worked at Keeler Brass Company. Her and her late husband of 50 years, Theodore were master gardeners and had national prize winning and test gardens. In addition to her gardening, she loved reading, traveling and her grandkids. Surviving are her children, Anne Marie Hojnacki (Michael Marz), John (Stephanie) Hojnacki, Kathleen (Mark) Stapleton, Karen Crater (Andrew Callender), Anthony (Elizabeth) Hojnacki; 14 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; special cousin, Vivian Doane. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore in 2004; son, Jimmy; brothers, Donald and Ronald Reedy. Visitation Monday from 5-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. The family will greet friends Tuesday 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am at Pilgrim Bible Church, 361 Pine St., Cedar Springs. Interment Hilton Cemetery, Casnovia.
