Shirley A. Gorby

Shirley Ann Gorby, 77 of Kent City, died peacefully on Sunday, January 29, 2012. Mrs. Gorby was born December 31, 1934 in Newark, NJ the only child of Thomas and Elizabeth (Lombard) Entrikin. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Earl; 3 loving children, Dawn (Fred) Groenke, Kenneth Pope II, Betty (Brad) Kahrs; 3 loving step children, Rich (Martha) Pope, Steven Pope, Curt Pope; 15 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; half brother, Christopher (Janet) Entrikin; special loving cousin, Peggy Schumann. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. The funeral service will be held Friday 11:00 am at Plainfield Christian Church. Interment Idlewild Cemetery, Kent City. Memorial contributions may be made to Plainfield Christian Church.
