Shirlee A. Wollander

Shirlee Anne Wollander age 86 of Cedar Springs died Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at her home after a short battle with cancer. She was born August 1, 1939 in Douglas, MI the daughter of Eldon and Harriet (Swathwood) McCarty, Jr. She met Don Wollander while working at Meijer’s and they were married on October 24, 1983. Don lived on his family farm and Shirlee was extremely happy to become a farmer and being a farmer’s wife. Don was a famous photographer of wildlife and flowers, and Shirlee became his assistant. Through helping Don, Shirlee became a photographer of insects.

She is survived by her daughters, Faith Conant and Tammy Tufte; several grandchildren; close friends, Terry Bassett and Bonnie Rausch. She was preceded in death by her husband of 31years, Don. Per her wishes cremation has taken place and no services will be held. Arrangements by K.E. Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs.
