Scott J. Rosenberger

Scott Julian Rosenberger, age 60, of Sand Lake, Michigan, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, surrounded by his family at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Scott was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on May 14, 1966. Scott was a dedicated Christian who loved the Lord deeply, and his faith was reflected in the way he lived, loved his family, and cared for others. He was deeply committed to his church, Huggard Bible Church, and his faith gave him strength throughout his life. Scott looked forward to the day he would be with the Lord, and his family finds comfort knowing that he is now exactly where he wanted to be, home with his Lord and Savior.

Scott and his wife, Karen, opened and ran North Kent Mobile Marine together for the past 22 years, a business he truly loved and took great pride in. Scott loved working with his hands and could fix just about anything. Friends and family knew that if something needed fixing, Scott was the person to call. Whether it was a boat, truck, tractor, or something else, he enjoyed figuring it out and making it work again. Through the business, Scott met countless people and built many lasting relationships. He loved what he did and the people he met along the way.

Scott was a devoted husband and loving father who treasured his family. He had a kind and generous heart, a great sense of humor, and a way of making people feel comfortable and welcome. No matter what was happening, Scott could always find something to laugh about and somehow make everyone around him laugh too.

Scott is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Karen Lynn Rosenberger; his son, Mackenzie Scott Rosenberger, whom he loved dearly, and his cherished daughter-in-law, Amber Olsen-Rosenberger; his sister, Karen Sue Everest; his brothers, Alan Julian Rosenberger (Cyndy) and Christopher Julian Rosenberger (Mari Alice); as well as his in-laws, nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, extended family, and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Julian Rosenberger and Sue Eulyn Rosenberger.

Scott will be deeply missed by his family, friends, church family, customers, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 16, 2026, from 2:00–5:00 p.m. at K.E. Pike Funeral Home in Cedar Springs, Michigan. A funeral service will be held at Huggard Bible Church on Monday, August 17, 2026, at 5:00 p.m., with a luncheon to follow. All are welcome to join the family for the luncheon and fellowship following the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Scott's memory to Huggard Bible Church.
