Ruth L. Wright

Ruth L. Wright, 75 of Cedar Springs, beloved wife and mother, went to be with her Lord on Friday, April 14, 2017 at Sanctuary of St. Mary’s after a courageous battle with dementia. Mrs. Wright was born August 23, 1941 in Ensley Township, MI the daughter of Ted and Lillian (Cook) Hanes. She was very talented with many interests including being an excellent cook, enjoying her grandchildren, helping her husband on the farm, working in the yard and flowers and talking with her neighbors. She had worked at GR Controls for over 20 years and attended Huggard Bible Church. She will be dearly missed by her husband of 51 years, Roger; son, Alan (Lisa) Wright; grandchildren, Michelle Wright and Brian Ngo, Nicole (Josh) Hughes, Casey Wright and fiancee, Katie Duffy, Danelle Wright and fiance, Joe Hughes; great grandchildren, Izzy, Alexis, Bentley, Ahri, Derek and Lily; brothers, Phillip (Mary Ann) Hanes, Dick (Mariea) Hanes, Karl (Kathy) Hanes; sisters, Linda Brock, Phyllis Kling, Marcella (Roger) Schleder; sisters-in-law, Sally (Dave) Meyer and Donna Wright; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Max Hanes. A special thanks to Sanctuary at St. Mary’s for the excellent care they gave. The family will greet friends Friday from 4-7 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. The service will be Saturday 11:00 am at Huggard Bible Church, 8860 21 Mile Road, Sand Lake. The family will greet friends at 10:00 am. Pastor Rick Malone officiating. Interment Spencer Mills Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Huggard Bible Church or Spectrum Health Hospice.
