Russell E. Brewster Jr.

Russell E. Brewster Jr. of Sand Lake died Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Blodgett Hospital in East Grand Rapids. Russell was born May 15, 1940 in Saginaw, MI the son of Russell Sr. and Leona (Kurzhals) Brewster. Russ proudly served in the U.S. Navy. He was the owner/operator of Squire’s Gutter and loved striking up a conversation with anybody. He was a huge University of Michigan fan and had a really soft spot for his grand kids. He attended all their sporting events. He is survived by his wife Shannon of 44 years; children, Shelly Crump, Kevin (Sherry) Allmon, Rusty (Kisha) Brewster, Greg (Christie) Brewster, Kristen (Justin) Telder; grandchildren, Brettney, Tyler, Kyle, Tayler, Logan, Jacob, Tyler, Grant, Makenzie, Alivia, Ava; great grandson, Lincoln; brother, Lyle (Marlene) Brewster. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 11:00 am Saturday, May 1 at Mary Queen of Apostles, Sand Lake. Rev. Fr. Lam Le Celebrant. The family will greet friends Friday 2-4 pm with a 3:30 pm Scripture Service at Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Sand Lake.
