Ruby A. Head

Ruby A. Head, 98 of Sparta, died Monday, August 10, 2009 at her granddaughter’s home. Mrs. Head was born January 2, 1911 in Castlewood, Virginia the daughter of Charles and Nancy (Dickensen) Castle. Surviving are her granddaughter Lynn (Thomas) Sowerwine of Cedar Springs, great grandchildren, Tawnya, Christopher, Kenneth and Sara Sowerwine; sisters, Ida Barkaloo of Delaware, Ohio and Nancy Biggs of Kingsport, TN; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles, daughter, Delores Chase; 3 sisters and 1 brother. The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. Interment White Chapel Memorial Cemetery, Troy.
