Rose M. Cole

Rose M. Cole, 93 of Cedar Springs, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017 at Samaritas in Grand Rapids. Mrs. Cole was born October 10, 1923 in Muskegon County, MI the daughter of Carl and Christina (Lehman) Nelson. She had worked at the U.S. Post Office, Cedar Springs retiring in 1983 and is a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church, Sand Lake. Surviving are her children, Colen (Nancy) Cole, Marion (Richard) Morris, Rita (Bill) Peterson; five grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clem in 1981 and a son-in-law, Leon Dennis in 2008. The family will greet friends Friday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. A private family graveside will follow at East Nelson Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Friends of the Michigan Veterans Home.
