Rosabelle Saboo

October 10, 1934 — August 18, 2011

Rose (Granny) Saboo. Granny has seen Our Creator and is truly at peace. Her earthly journey began October 10, 1934 and her sacred fire was started August 18, 2011. Granny has walked on ahead of her remaining children, son, Joe and daughter Donna; sister, Norma and brother, Larry. Celebrating her life are grandchildren, MacKenzie (Jimmy), Alec (Bruce) Kesis, Joey, Melanie, Jim, Jake, Jack and Monica; great grandchildren, Mia Koda, Jade, Riley, Chelsea, Leigh-Ann, Cloie, Shyla and Tristan; nieces and nephews and brother-in-law Henry (Sharon) Saboo. Granny was at home when she started her spirit journey. She was looking forward to being with friends at Native American Senior Lunches, Pow Wow, Ghost Suppers and Elders Duck Race Gathering. She was a very good cook. You couldn’t beat her homemade veggie soup and cheater fry bread. She enjoyed her short time with her newest great granddaughter watching morning shows and rocking. Her family will take her to Mission Hill Cemetery, Bay Mills. There will be a family gathering on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. A luncheon will be held in her honor on Sunday, August 28 at 2:00 p.m. at 155 Greenridge NW in Walker. Memorial contributions have been suggested to the Native American Senior Meals on Plainfield NE.
