Ron “Dozer” Truesdell, 36, of Cedar Springs, passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2025. Born April 1, 1989, in Ionia, Michigan, Dozer lived life full throttle—bold, fearless, and unforgettable. He proudly served 12 years in the U.S. Army, including deployments to Iraq and Kuwait, carrying the same grit and determination into every part of his life.
An avid outdoorsman, Dozer was happiest fishing, hunting, or chasing adventure. He never met a stranger and always seemed to have a story—usually one that brought a smile to those around him. Dozer made friends everywhere he went, but his greatest joy was his family. He and Dana, along with their boys, traveled far and wide, from road trips across the States to an unforgettable journey to Rome earlier this year. Dozer will be remembered as a larger-than-life husband, father, and friend whose love, loyalty, and spirit will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 15 years, Dana; sons, Adam, Wyatt; father, Ted Dyer; mother, Laurie and Allen Truesdell; brother, Jeffrey (Michelle) Truesdell; sister, L. Renee (Mitchell) Chiaravalle; grandparents, Lois VanBuren Ramsey, Robert Dyer, Zane (Debbie) DeBoer, Ardythe Veldsma; mother-in-law, Susan (James) Diamantoni; father-in-law, Harry DeBoer; sister-in-law, Kendra DeBoer; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Dozer was preceded in death by his brother, Cody Dyer; sister, Kristi Truesdell.
