Rodney T. Sharpe

Rodney T. Sharpe age 64 of Newaygo passed away and went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, November 29, 2022. He fought a long health battle and remained strong and steadfast in his faith. Rodney was born February 13, 1958 in Trenton, MI the son of Thomas and Shirley (Porter) Sharpe. He retired from the Kent County Sheriff Department after 25 years of service. He was a Detroit Lions fan and enjoyed golfing, hunting and being outside. He was a loving husband and soulmate and loved his family. Surviving are his wife, Judy; children, Ryan Sharpe, Andrew (Nikki) Sharpe, Alex Sharpe, Shaun (Jenifer) LaHuis, Shannon LaHuis, Stacy (Nate) Dilworth; grandchildren, Nickolas, Sullivan, Natalie, Audrey, Tommy and Emily; parents, Thomas and Shirley Sharpe; sisters, Sheila (Steve) Mencarelli, Lori (Mike Tichvon) Sharpe, Patrice (Richard) Wesche, Leisa (Scott Knecht) Mahanic; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many friends. The family will greet friends Monday, December 5 from 11:00 am until time of service at 12:00 pm at the K.E. Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. Pastor Gabriel Garber officiating. A luncheon will follow at the American Legion, Cedar Springs. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
