View Photo Tribute Robert E. Hibbard, 70 of Cedar Springs, died Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at his home surrounded by his family. Mr. Hibbard was born September 1, 1936 in Detroit, MI the son of Thomas and Georgia (Cornelius) Hibbard. He was a trim carpenter working at Bergsma Brothers for 30 years and Haworth in Holland for 10 years. Mr. Hibbard was a quiet loving father and grandpa with a great sense of humor. He enjoyed bowling and was an avid horseshoe player, winning many trophies. Surviving are his wife Patricia; 8 children, Jennie & Duane MacAnaspie, Robert & Kimberly Hibbard, Theresa Hibbard-Louden, Denise & Steve Balberde, Kathy & Kurt Schlanderer, Michele & David Fry, Michael Steven & Tina Hibbard, Donald Hibbard; 9 grandchildren, Francesca, Jeremy, Sarah, Devin, Melinda, Melodie “Phoebe”, Nicole, Nathan, Chantal; 1 brother, Richard Hibbard; 2 sisters, Marie & Kenneth Smith, and Norma; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; 4 sisters, Anna, Betty, Edna, Dorothy; 1 brother, Eugene. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6-8 pm and Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs, www.blisswitterspike.com. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday 11:00 am at Our Lady of Consolation, Rockford. Rev. Fr. Thomas Page, celebrant. Interment Courtland Township Cemetery.
