Robert E. Engel

Robert E. Engel, 75 of Muskegon, formerly of Coopersville, died Thursday, June 12, 2008 at Spectrum Health, Butterworth Campus. Bob was born September 3, 1932 in Cedar Springs, MI the son of Lee and Donna (Huckleberry) Engel. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army for 7 years serving during the Korean Conflict. He graduated from Davenport College in 1976 and was a member of the Sparta Masonic Lodge. Bob was a very adventurous man who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved to cook and had owned many restaurants. He loved his dog, Cece and his cat, Josh. Surviving are his wife, Bonnie (Thorp); 6 children, Jerry (Marie) Johnson, Rebecca (Jim) Skradski, Debbie (John) Jojola, Theresa (Dennis) Pohl, Timmy (Lisa) Johnson, Kathy (Dave) Ignasiak; 14 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; 1 sister, Donnalee (Earl) Holton. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Cassandra. The family will receive friends Friday from 5-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs, www.blisswitterspike.com where services will be held Saturday 11:00 am.
