Robert L. Ebenstein

View Photo Tribute Robert L. Ebenstein, 71 of Sand Lake, died Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at his home. Mr. Ebenstein was born October 3, 1937 in Grand Rapids, MI the son of Harry and Cora (Cooper) Ebenstein. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1955 – 1975 and retired as a Master Sargeant. Bob was extremely devoted to his family and will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was an avid car and airplane enthusiast, and a friend to everyone he met. Surviving are his wife, Janice (Pennell); 3 sons and their spouses, James & Dina Ebenstein of Rockford, Scott & Toni Ebenstein of Rockford, Lance & Pamela Ebenstein of Sand Lake; 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Harold & Wanda Ebenstein of Grand Rapids. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, William Ebenstein. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs, where services will be held Friday 11:00 am. Pastor David Huizenga officiating. Interment with military honors at Sand Lake Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Michigan.
