Robert R. Bontekoe

Robert R. Bontekoe, 90 of Cedar Springs, died Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Lincoln Square, Grand Rapids. Mr. Bontekoe was born August 31, 1927 in Grand Rapids, MI the son of Martin and Ruth (Dillenbeck) Bontekoe. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Surviving are his children, Michael (Cathy) Bontekoe of Charlotte, NC, Sherry (William) Nelson of Belmont, Richard (Jackie) Bontekoe of Irons, Mary (Doug) Toren of Rockford; 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Delores in 2010; parents, stepmother, Viola Bontekoe. Robert’s wishes were for a viewing for family and friends which will be held on Saturday from 2-4 at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. There will be no funeral service, private interment will take place at Elmwood Cemetery, Cedar Springs. Memorial contributions may be made to Spectrum Health Hospice.
