Richard A. Teachout

Richard A. Teachout age 90 of Coral, MI went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 25, 2026 at Sheridan Community Hospital. He was born March 31,1936 in Johnson City, NY, the son of Richard and Oril (Reed) Teachout. He served his country in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War. Richard served with Baptist Mid-Missons for 44 years. He was dedicated to educating pastors for ministry as he helped form Bible seminaries and a Bible school in Central African Republic, France and Quebec. He pastored churches in France and Canada and was a camp director. He loved young people and desired to see them follow Christ. He served at Bibles International in Grand Rapids.

Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Nancy; children, Randall (Kari) Teachout, Pamela (Todd) Larson, Robert (Theresa) Teachout, Raymond (Jennifer) Teachout; 23 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brother, Clifford (Lila) Teachout; sister, Mary Lee Teachout.

A memorial service will be held Monday, November 2 at 11:00 am at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Coral. Pastor Chris Kaufield officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bibles International.
