Richard W. Rowland

Richard W. Rowland, 60 of Sand Lake, died Saturday, November 8, 2014 at his home. Dick was born March 30, 1954 in Grand Rapids, MI the son of Donald and Elaine (Boelter) Rowland. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and had retired from Knape & Vogt in 2001. He enjoyed farming and loved his family very much. He was a member of the Mary Free Bed Stroke Support Group. Surviving are his wife, Margaret; children, Elizabeth (Ron) Mason, Katherine (Roy) Jibson, Susan (Mike) DeBoer; grandchildren, Justin, Cheyenne, Shawney, Brenna, Ian, and Lyam; mother, Elaine Rowland; brothers, Jerry (Lois) Boelter, James (Denise) Rowland, Gary Rowland, Ronald (Shari) Rowland; sisters, Carol (Marv) Doezema, Nancy (Dave) Bradley; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald; brother, David; and sister, Katherine. The family will greet friends Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs where a Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday 11:00 am at Mary Queen of Apostles, Sand Lake. Rev. Fr. Lam T. Le celebrant. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery.
