Richard E. Goller, Jr. age 57, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 5, 2009, following a short illness. Nicknamed “Buzz” as a young child, he grew up in Cedar Springs surrounded by his loving family and many good friends. At. the age of 17, Buzz joined the United States Army and served courageously as a member of the 82nd Airborne Division in Vietnam. Buzz had been a proud member of the Local Pipefitter’s Union #174 for more than 30 years and was a talented welder who took great pride in his work. Buzz loved to hunt, fish and enjoyed spending time with his family and close friends. He loved making others laugh and he never missed a party. Buzz will be dearly missed by his wife, Dianne, who was the love of his life; his son, Richard Goller; daughters, Sarah Goller, Stephanie Nelson, and Aubrey Nelson; grandson, Brayden McIntosh; parents, Dick and Betty Goller; sisters, Carol Brooks, and Diane Goller and her husband, David Murkowski; brothers, Daniel Goller, and Edward Goller and his wife, Amy Goller; mother and father-in-law, Brenda and Tom Wilkinson; sisters-in-law, Rita (Larry) Bender, Lori (Brian) McDonald, and Tammy (James) Cummings; brothers-in-law, Joe (Tammy) Potratz, and Tom (Wendy) Peterson; many nieces, nephews and special friends. The family will receive friends Thursday 10:00 am until time of memorial service at 11:00 am at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. Pastor Alsen Wenzel officiating.
