Reva Jane Leach (nee Miller), aged 80, of Cedar Springs passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2008 as the result of an automobile accident. Reva Jane was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles Lemke and Lt. Col. Wayne Leach; a brother, Eugene Miller; and a sister, Audrey Miller. Reva Jane obtained a BA degree having attended Alma College and Oakland University. She was creative in all things which included baking bread, making soups, and cooking big saucepans of tapioca! She loved Easter, clouds, chocolate, Quaker Oat Squares, riding her bike, and eating healthy. She was a prolific painter who also enjoyed crossword puzzles, sharpened pencils, “Who Wants to be a Millionaire”, and “Oprah”. Reva Jane is survived by her children, David (Jackie) Lemke of South Lyon, Jan (Dave) Malmo of Pierson , Kim Lemke of Cedar Springs and stepson Mark (Sandy) Leach of Columbia S.C; her grandchildren, Weston Gorby, Brandon (Amber) Gorby, Nate (Lynn) Gorby and Ally Lemke; two great grandchildren, Addyson and Wyatt Gorby; a sister, Maxine McLeod of Roseville, MI; special sisters- in- law, Marilyn Miller of Sandusky, Marion Mercado of Rochester and her fiance’ Spud Ensing of Rockford. Reva Jane was a member of Cedar Springs United Methodist Church, Cedar Springs Women’s Club, Red Hat Society, and a former docent at Frederik Meijer Gardens. A memorial service celebrating Reva Jane’s life will be held on Friday, July 25, 2008 at 11:00 am at the Cedar Springs United Methodist Church with Rev. Mary Ivanov officiating. Honoring her wish cremation has taken place. Memorial contributions to the CSUMC Building Improvement Fund have been suggested.
