Reed J Elder

View Photo Tribute Reed J Elder, 31 of Cedar Springs, died Monday, March 12, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer. Reed was born October 4, 1975 in Grand Rapids, MI the son of Ralph and Shirley (Reed) Elder. He was presently a student at GRCC in the Law Enforcement Program. He was head of security at McFadden’s Restaurant and Saloon and a Committee Man for UAW Local #1231. He was preceded in death by his mother. Surviving are his father and stepmother, Ralph & Debra Elder; 3 brothers, Charles Twichell, Chris Twichell, Ralph & Elizabeth Elder, Jr.; 2 sisters, Dawn & Randy Dunneback, Beth & Alan McGahan; grandmother, Virginia Fisher; best friends, Joy Franz and Eric Gregones, several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs, www.blisswitterspike.com where services will be held Friday 11:00 am. Pastor Doug DiBell officiating. Interment Solon Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
