Rebecca L. Chase

Rebecca Lynn Chase, age 60, was called from this life after a long, courageous battle with ALS on Monday, March 29, 2021 in Grand Rapids. Rebecca was born January 17, 1961 in Grand Rapids, MI the daughter of Ivan and Barbara (Bates) Fales. Rebecca was a supportive and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who loved life to its fullest. Anyone that knew Becky knew that she would do anything for you and was always there to help anyway possible. Becky cherished her husband, Duane and loved the life they had built together over the past 38 years through all of the ups and downs and the countless memories made. She was his rock and best friend. Her love for her grandkids, Jayde, Jenna, Presley, Lily, Lyla, Avery, and Austyn was amazing. She was always up for whatever adventure the kids dreamed up and there to support them at all of their activities with encouragement and a smile. Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents, Ivan and Barbara Fales and her daughter, Nathasha Fritsch. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Duane Chase; children, Joshua Chase, Jason Chase, Matthew Chase, Amanda (Charles) Szabo and Joshua Shooks along with her grandchildren and many other loving family members and dear friends. A celebration of Rebecca's life will be held on Saturday, April 10 from 12 PM - 2 PM at Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, 13603 Northland Dr. NE, Cedar Springs with a graveside service to follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Cedar Springs.
