Ray "Pete" Gorby

Ray A. “Pete” Gorby age 89 of Pierson, died Monday, December 6, 2021 at his home surrounded by family. Ray was born July 2, 1932 in Bailey, MI the son of Ray and Crystal (Urbrock) Gorby Sr. He worked at Muskegon Piston Ring Company, Sparta Foundry and was a full-time farmer. Pete loved hunting, fishing and farming, cutting wood and riding his four-wheeler on his property. Surviving are his children, Michael Gorby, Kathy (Kim) Newton, Sally (Wayne) Newton, Mark (Tammie) Gorby; 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; siblings, Harold Gorby, Joyce Downer; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine and son, Patrick. A private family graveside will take place at Trufant Cemetery. A celebration of his life will take place at a later date.
