Phyllis M. Cornelisse

Phyllis M. Cornelisse age 94 of Howard City went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born June 2, 1928 in Grand Rapids, MI the daughter of Art and Bertha (Borrendame) Franken. Phyllis accepted Christ as her Savior in her 40’s and was a faithful follower of Christ from that day. She was always willing to invest in other’s lives and care for them. Surviving are her children, William (Chris) Cornelisse, Barbara Janis; 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman; daughters, Laurie Penninga and Mary Kay Cornelisse. The family will greet friends Friday, March 31 from 5 - 8 pm at the K.E. Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. The service will be Saturday, April 1 at 11:00 am at Grace Community Church, 9920 N. Reed Road, Howard City. The family will greet friends before the service from 10 – 10:45 am. Pastor Joel Cooper officiating. Interment Garfield Park Cemetery, Grand Rapids. Memorials may be made to the music ministry at Grace Community Church.
