Phillip E. Brooks

Phillip E. Brooks age 70 of Pierson, died Wednesday, June 2, 2021. Phillip was born December 30, 1950 in Grand Rapids, MI the son of Eugene and Nina (Stanley) Brooks. After 37 ½ years of service he retired from General Motors 36th St, Wyoming. He enjoyed the outdoors and working at Whitefish Lake Golf Course. He showed unconditional love and was always there for everyone. He loved to work and was purpose driven. Surviving are his children, Heather (Darrell) Huntoon, Ben (Samantha) Brooks; step children, Ashley (Aaron) Whalen, David (Rachel) Ducat; 5 grandchildren, Meg Huntoon, John and Jack Brooks, Leah Whalen, Mariano Ducat; sister, Sue (Tom) Huff. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Norma Kolkman and Delores Lau. The family will greet friends Monday, June 7 from 6-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, June 8 at 11:00 am at Reynolds Township Cemetery, Howard City. Memorial contributions may be made to Make-A-Wish or the Humane Society of West Michigan.
