Patrick H. Zondervan

Patrick H. Zondervan age 49 of Rockford, died Monday, April 20, 2026. He was born June 29, 1976 in Fontano, CA the son of Gary and Mavis (Assink) Zondervan. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during Operation Enduring Freedom. Patrick was an incredible father and husband to his four children, Isaac, Malia, Laina, Cora and his wife, Melinda. His family was his world. Patrick was an incredibly generous person and always the first to help others. He was an excellent craftsman and handyman who could fix anything and always up for a challenge. He was friendly and had a great sense of humor and loved to joke and enjoyed camping. Also surviving are his mother, Mavis Zondervan; brother, Nathan (Melissa) Zondervan; mother-in-law, Marlene Ploeg; in-laws, Mike Ploeg, Marci (Jim) Smigiel, Melanie (Dave) Richardson; many loved nieces and nephews and his faithful companion Poppy. He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Zondervan and his father-in-law, J. Michael Ploeg. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 23 from 4:00 pm until time of service at 6:00 pm at the K.E. Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. Private interment Forest Home Cemetery, Greenville.
