Pamela A. Dumond

June 9, 1954 — August 21, 2024

Pamela Ann (Anderson) Dumond, age 70 of Cedar Springs, MI was reunited with Jesus Wednesday, August 21, 2024 surrounded by her loved ones at her home on Pine Lake. Pam was born on June 9, 1954 in Grand Rapids, MI and was the daughter of Axel V. Anderson and Myrtle N. (Stephens) Anderson. Pam is survived by husband, Kenneth; daughters, Kris (Dean) Anderson, Katy (Shawn) Austin; grandchildren, aka “those who could do no wrong” Mackenzie (Travis) Witte, Austin (Alura) Anderson, Olivia and Alaina Austin; great grandchildren, aka “those who could do even less wrong” Brayden and Brooklyn Rountree, Kiara Witte, Archie and Kennedy Belle Anderson; special friends (and niece) Dawn (John) Kosta and girls; beloved friend, Carla Cogan; brother, Grant (Ruth) Anderson; sister-in-law, Karen Anderson, Denise (David) Link; mother-in-law, Marcy Dumond; brother-in-law, Mark (Jody) Dumond; many nieces, nephews and other loved ones. Pam was joyfully greeted in heaven by her parents, Axel and Myrtle Anderson; brother-in-law, Dan Dumond; father-in-law, Dale Dumond, brother, Steve Anderson; great grandson, Leeroy Witte. Pam didn’t think anyone should ever have to sit alone or be left out so she raised her daughters to sit with the new kid and how important it was to say a kind word to a stranger. Pam didn’t believe she was making a difference in the world, but she truly was, one small act of kindness at a time. Pam loved fiercely and she loved with her whole heart. There was absolutely nothing you could tell her that would make her love you any less, in her eyes, you were the smartest, bravest, kindest person she knew. She loved because she knew the love of Jesus. When asked “What are your favorite things about Mom, Grandma, Pam?” a common theme emerged “Abundance of love for others, her good pure heart, her deep love of God, how generous with everything she was (encouraging words, time, acts of love). “That time she stole errrr liberated a dog who had never been off a chain but felt bad so she went back and bought the dog for $200. She was then the proud owner of a dog that she had to teach about love and living off a chain. Her smile and laugh, her eternal optimism. Rock hunting with her on ANY beach (or in the woods or on vacation or in a city, so basically anywhere and at any time lol), she was a true rock hound. How she made you feel like there was nothing in the world you couldn’t do and that you truly are “fearfully and wonderfully made”. Her name was Pam but she was most often called “Mama Pam, Aunt Pam, Grandma Pam” even if she wasn’t actually your Mom, Aunt or Grandma. She wanted nothing more than for her loved ones to know and love Jesus. She like it if you listened to this The family is hosting a memorial celebration with coffee and dessert at Ken and Pam’s home on Pine Lake, September 7th from 1 – 3 pm. Wear your casual clothes and be prepared to laugh, hug, and remember the good ol’ days. Arrangements by K.E. Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs.
