Nanda L. Ream, 83 of Sand Lake, died Thursday, August 23, 2007 at Spectrum Health – Blodgett Campus. Mrs. Ream was born September 6, 1923 in Nelson Township, MI the daughter of Ralph and Cora (Speyer) Grannis. She graduated from Mercy Central School of Nursing as a registered nurse. She worked as a nurse along with raising her five children on the family farm where she lived her entire life. She attended East Nelson United Methodist Church. Surviving are her children, Alan Ream of Cedar Springs, Randy Ream and his special friend Sharon of Cedar Springs, Ross & Rachel Ream of Portland, Dennis & Janie Ream of Sand Lake, Jana & Rick Cunningham of Essex, Ontario; 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; 2 sisters-in-law, Doris Grannis and Opal Grannis; 1 brother-in-law, Rowland Ream; good friend, neighbor and caregiver, Doris Starr. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse in 2001; a son, Mark; brothers and sisters, Hugh Grannis, Paul Grannis, Betty Strecker, and June Betley. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs, www.blisswitterspike.com where services will be held Monday 11:00 a.m. Pastor Herb Vander Bilt officiating. Interment Coral Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the East Nelson United Methodist Church.
