Michelle Wyn

August 12, 1955 — July 28, 2021

After a very courageous, eight-year battle with cancer, Michelle Wyn, age 65, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at her home in Sand Lake, MI while surrounded by family. Michelle was born on August 12, 1955 in Grand Rapids to the late Clifford and Marie McMann. She had a long and successful career at Kent Radiology, beginning 33 years ago and finishing with more knowledge and lifelong friendships at St. Mary’s Hospital, having retired in 2019 as an X-Ray Technician. Michelle was a very kind and loving woman, who above all loved her husband, children and grandchildren. She lit up any room with her love and kindness that she offered to all. She was the lefthanded middle child who found the positive in everything, always making each day “The Best Day Ever”. Michelle loved all things FUN! She loved sitting in her porch watching the boats go by on Baptist Lake. She loved eating curled over potato chips, Yesterdogs and was the keeper of the best strawberry jam and chocolate chip cookies. She leaves behind her husband of 39 years, Douglas Wyn, her son Eric (Katie) Wyn, her daughter Brooke (Timothy) Ebenhoeh Jr. and her adored grandchildren: Natalie, Nash, Ace and Tanner. Michelle also leaves behind her three sisters: Sally (Terry) Howard, Susan Hendricks and Patricia (Bob) Hendryx and brother-in-law Gary (Penny) Wyn. She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, in-laws Joel (Patricia) Wyn and brother-in-law, Russel Hendricks. She will be deeply missed by many close friends, cousins, nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Lemmen-Holton Cancer Pavilion (especially Anna and Wendy) and Faith Hospice. Visitation will be held at Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, 13603 Northland Dr. NE, Cedar Springs, on Sunday, August 1 from 2 – 5 pm. Visitation will also be at St. John Paul II Catholic Church, 3110 17 Mile Rd NE, Cedar Springs on Monday, August 2 at 9:00 am with a Christian Mass to celebrate Michelle’s life at 10:00 am. If you wish to give a gift in lieu of flowers, please consider memorial donations to the American Cancer Society. As Michelle always said, she was eternally thankful for her life, her faith, her family, the promise of heaven and the forgiveness of sins. Although we will miss her dearly, the example that she set for her family and friends will be an inspiration to all of us for a lifetime.
