Michaeline "Mickie" Lake

On July 16, Mickie lost her battle with cancer. Her family is heartbroken, but relieved her pain has ended. She was reunited with her parents, Linda and Don. She will be greatly missed by her beloved husband Darick. She leaves behind her sisters Jamie (Frank) and Becky, as well as her step mother Connie. She was a devoted mother to her children Jordan and Cindy (Trufant), Cameron and Ashley (Ensley), Darwin and Mandi (Greenville), Dakota (Portland, OR), Lyndsay (Grand Rapids). A loving grandma to her grandchildren Gavin, Lance, Liam, Delaney, Damen, Audrienna, Brantley, Reagan, and Maven. Mickie leaves behind many other dear family and friends. Mickie was happiest when she was surrounded by those she loved. She had a lifelong love of cooking and gardening. Her 5 star kitchen won’t be the same without her. She loved their annual trips to Beaver Island. In recent years she enjoyed a new adventure of hunting with Darick. She never let the challenges of MS hold her back or keep her down. She always had something witty to say, even in tough moments. Her kind heart and smart mouth will be greatly missed. As always…. Much love to all.
