Michael S. Van Loo

Michael S. Van Loo, 45 of Cedar Springs, died Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at The Lacks Cancer Center at St. Mary’s. Michael was born March 31, 1967 in Syracuse, NY. He was a loving husband and father and always there for others and willing to help anyone who asked. Surviving are his wife of 21 years, Amy (Toth); daughters, Tegan Van Loo and Kirstin Van Loo; father, John Raubinger; mother, Cheryl Quint; sister, Adrienne Quint (Gordon Scanlon); grandfather, Gordon Van Loo (Roseann Coco). Michael also was blessed with an extended group of family and friends. The family will greet friends Friday from 6-8 pm with a memorial service at 7:00 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. Chaplain Eric Coulon will be officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to a college fund for his daughters set up at Independent Bank or in Michael’s name to the American Cancer Society.
