Michael R. Mcguire

Michael R. McGuire age 70 of Pierson, died Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at his home. Mr. McGuire was born July 19, 1951 in Lamar, MO the son of Gerald and Thelma Joy (Faurot) McGuire. He graduated from high school in Syracuse, NY and then served his country in the U.S. Navy. In his younger years, Mike enjoyed playing on a softball league with his brothers. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, boating, target shooting and sci-fi books and shows. Mike was a proud conservative who loved his country. He loved manual stick shift sports cars. In his older years, Mike took pride in his home ownership, his grandchildren and his relationship with his son-in-law. He loved his grandchildren and was very proud of his daughter. Surviving are his wife, Maureen; daughter, Megan (Daniel) Beattie; grandchildren, Elysia, Elyjah, Daniel Jr., Shyla, Leilani, Mason, Mariah and one on the way, Asher Michael; great granddaughter, Stella; siblings, Cynthia (Russ) Blocksidge, Jim (Mary-beth) McGuire, Scott (Valerie) McGuire; sister, Erica (Frank) Germano; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Randy. The family will greet friends Friday, February 25 from 1 – 3 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs where a time of sharing and a prayer will close the afternoon at 2:45 pm. Military honors by the Kent County Veterans Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be made to his wife.
