Michael Kulak Jr.

Michael Kulak Jr. age 86 of Cedar Springs, died Friday, January 1, 2021 at Spectrum Health United Memorial Hospital, Greenville. Mike was born February 7, 1934 in Grand Rapids, MI the son of Michael and Josephine (Scczytko) Kulak. He served in the U.S. Army from 1956 – 58. He was very independent in caring for himself and in the past had enjoyed fishing and gardening. He was a great father and grandfather and enjoyed being with his family and was often the life of the party. Surviving are his children, Ed (Sandy) Kulak, Mike (Dawn) Kulak, Chris (Mike) Bayne, Teresa Kulak, Dianna (Bob) VanProoyen, Cindy (Brian) Fettig, Dan (Laura) Kulak, Brian (Kimberly) Kulak; 15 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sisters, Rosie Karpowicz and Josie Kulak; brother-in-law, Frank Bielecki. He was preceded in death by his wife, Della in 2010; sisters, Stella Domanski and Dorothy Bielecki; brother, Edward Kulak. The family will greet friends Tuesday from 6-8 pm where a Rosary will be held at 7:30 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday 10:00 am at St. John Paul II Catholic Church, Cedar Springs. Rev. Fr. Lam Le celebrant. Interment St. Margaret’s Catholic Cemetery, Harvard. Memorial contributions may be made to Michigan Special Olympics.
