Melroy I. Poling

Melroy I. Poling age 87 of Cedar Springs died Monday, May 22, 2023 at Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods. Mel was born December 15, 1935 in Logan, Ohio the son of Samuel and Mary (Woltz) Poling. He worked at General Motors on Alpine Avenue retiring in 2001. He played the mandolin and liked to draw and entertained his grand kids and other children with his drawings and object lessons. He liked to fix things in his own way. Surviving are his children, Shawn Poling, Ronna (Keith) Wiseman, Linda Poling; grandchildren, Paige Poling, Bailey Poling, Storee Moss; brother, Harvey (Maxine) Poling. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie; son, Troy “Jamie” Poling; grandson, Nicholas Wyatt; siblings, Adrea, Herbert, Albert, Lloyd, Irma, Donald, Mary, Arretha Cole; brother-in-law, Tom Tomlin. The family will greet friends Thursday from 6-8 pm at the K.E. Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs where the service will be held Friday 11:00 am with viewing 10:00 am. Pastor Dan VanBelzen officiating.
